The Spine – Differential Diagnosis and Management
This course is designed for the more experienced and clinical specialist physiotherapists, with the objective of providing an evidence based approach to the diagnosis and management of less common and uncommon/rare causes of spinal and radiating symptoms.
Topic areas will include symptoms of spinal origin (including discogenic, facet joint, sacroiliac joint, radicular, scoliosis, spondylolysis, spondylolisthesis), neurogenic and vascular claudication, neurological conditions (including neuropathies, myopathies and myelopathies), red flags, benign and malignant tumours of the spine, spinal infection, cauda equina syndrome, osteoporosis, ‘non-spinal’ causes of spinal pain.
The course will be interactive, including a team quiz, general discussions, small group discussions, power point presentations. Participants will be able to draw on the knowledge and experience of the two presenters (and fellow participants) to enhance their learning experience
